From 1st October 2008 all rental properties with a new tenancy agreement in England and Wales will be required by law to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
An EPC is a review of the energy efficiency and enviromental impact of your property.
It covers running costs for heating, hot water, and lightin. It will also suggest energy saving improvements.
Failure to adhere to the new law could result in a £200 fine - but don't worry CSJ have the answer.
